RJ SMITH, The Master of Suspense, is an American optioned Hollywood Screenwriter, #4 Amazon Bestselling Novelist (THE SANTA CLAUS KILLER) and principal E.P. at Storyteller Entertainment.
His debut screenplays, DESTINY (April 2010) STORYTELLER (September 2011) and CATACLYSM (Spring 2012) prepared him for the rigors of writing novels.
That came when NYC literary agent Joyce Keating asked RJ to try his hand at writing a novel. Completed in January 2013, THE SANTA CLAUS KILLER and THE STORYTELLER were set up for a huge advertising campaign, global distribution and a six-month book tour of the U.S. and U.K.
Unfortunately, in June 2013, the author was severely injured in a bicycle accident. Not able to tour, he underwent six traditional surgeries where titanium plates, screws and rods replaced badly injured dics, broken bones and partial paralysis.
Waiting on his 3rd novel, Cataclysm, to be edited, that title was finally published (June 2014) and Mr. Smith moved on to another trunk book, Monsters in the Woods (June 2018).
Called a visual writer, many in the industry claim reading his work is like watching a mind movie… a nod to his skills of writing in pictures.
His books have been featured in the USA Today, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the Military Times. His writing has brought an Emmy Swag and various screenwriting nods.
He lives in the State of Florida, in a wonderful, private, neighborhood with his dad and two dogs, Oscar (10) and Trouble (2).

It’s been months since I’ve posted anything here. The reasons are many. In February, I lost my beloved pointer terrier, Destiny, whom I saved from death row at the shelter more than eight years ago. Then, in March, mom passed away from lung cancer. This post was supposed to outline my retirement from the entertainment […]
